Limited awards are available for international students coming to the UK. Some of these are funded by the British government, including the Overseas Research Students Awards Scheme (ORSAS) for research students of exceptional calibre, and the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) which funds a number of postgraduate places for students from Commonwealth countries. Other scholarships are offered by organisations such as the Fulbright Commission. Details of all schemes are available from the British Council.

British Chevening Scholarships

These scholarships, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and administered by the British Council, allow overseas students to study in the United Kingdom.

Scholarships are offered in over 150 countries . The Chevening programme currently provides around 2,300 new scholarships each year for postgraduate studies or research at UK Institutions of Higher Education. Check their Website http://www.chevening.com for full details.
